Detail: Crown courts used traveling judges {missi, judge}, and county courts decreased [1164]. Most crimes "broke the king's peace" and so justified crown courts. In crown courts, lawyers talked to judge while jurors listened. They had no witnesses. Lawyers gave no summations.
