Instruments {membranophone}, such as drum or kazoo, can have vibrating membranes. Instruments {chordophone}, such as piano or cello, can have vibrating strings. Instruments {aerophone}, such as pipe organ or oboe, can have vibrating air columns. Instruments {electrophone}, such as theremin, can be electronic.
