Detail: Tall massive stones, with cromlechs, were in three concentric rings. Third ring was four meters high. Ditches were 100 meters diameter. Inner ring had no lintels. In center were five eight-meter-tall posts and lintels. Upright stones surrounded central altar stone. Stone alignments pointed to sunrise or sunset on some days each year. Main axis pointed to sunrise on June 24. Nearest quarries were 200 kilometers away.
